This recipe is adapted from "Best Ever Indian Cookbook" by Baljekar, Fernandez, Husain & Kanani. It is really delicious and one of my favorite green bean dishes.

- 1 and 1/2 cups french cut green beans, blanched
- 1 medium tomato, chopped
- 1 small onion cut lengthwise
- 1/4 Tsp turmeric powder
- 1 Tsp cumin powder
- 1 Tsp coriander powder
- 1 Tsp chilli powder
- 1 Tsp chopped garlic
- 1 Tsp sesame seeds
- 1/2 Tbsp dried methi leaves (Kasoori Methi)
- 2 Tbsp chopped cilantro leaves
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
How to..
- Heat oil in a non stick pan.
- Add garlic and cook for 12-15 seconds till it gets fragrant.
- Add onions and cook till it gets translucent.
- Now add the chopped tomato, salt, turmeric, cumin, coriander and chilli powders. Cover and cook on medium heat till the tomatoes get mushy.
- Then add the dried methi leaves and sesame seeds. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add the blanched beans to this and mix well. Cover and cook for 4-5 minutes till the beans absorb all the flavors.
- Mix in chopped cilantro leaves and lemon juice and serve hot.
