Beets Sabzi

If you like beets but don't always know what to do with them, then try this. I make this generally when we have rice and rasam. Its sweet and spicy flavor goes really well with tangy rasam.

What you'll need..
  • 4 Medium beets, peeled and cut into small bite size pieces
  • 2 Tbsp oil
  • 1 Tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Black mustard seeds
  • Salt to taste
How to..
  • Heat oil in a non stick pan
  • Add the mustard seeds and wait for them to splutter
  • Add the beets, salt and chilli powder and mix well
  • Cover with a lid and cook on medium heat for about 10-15 minutes till the beets get tender. Serve hot.
