Aloo Arbi Fry

This is a crispy, fried and spicy potato and taro root dish. Delicious ofcourse, like all fried foods.



What you'll need..
  • 6 Arbi/Kachalu, hard boiled and peeled (Taro root/Colocasia root)
  • 2 Medium potatoes, hard boiled and peeled
  • 1 Pinch turmeric
  • 1/2 Tsp chilli powder
  • 1/2 Tsp amchoor (Dry mango powder)
  • 1 Tsp coriander powder
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt to taste
How to..
  • Cut the hard boiled Arbi in half, lengthwise, and the potatoes in thick rounds. Add salt and set aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan on medium heat for frying.
  • Add the potatoes and Arbi in hot oil, seperately, and fry on medium heat till they turn crispy and golden brown in color.
  • Remove from heat and drain on paper towel.
  • Place all the fried potatoes and arbi in a large mixing bowl. 
  • Mix turmeric, chilli, amchoor and coriander powder in a small bowl. Sprinkle the spice mixture over the fried potatoes and arbi and mix well. Serve hot.
