If you tried the Simple cabbage and thought it needed a little zing.. then this is the dish for you. A tasty cabbage dish that is great with roti.

- 3 Cups shredded cabbage
- 1 Small onion, chopped
- 1 Medium tomato, chopped
- 2 Green chillies, chopped
- 1/2 Tsp mustard seeds
- 1/2 Tsp cumin seeds
- 1/4 Tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 Tsp chilli powder
- 1 Tsp coriander powder
- 2 Tbsp cilantro leaves
- 2 Tbsp oil
- Salt to taste
How to..
- Heat oil in a non stick pan. Add mustard and cumin seeds and wait for them to splutter.
- Add the chopped onion and fry for 4-5 minutes.
- Add the tomato, green chillies, salt, turmeric, chilli and coriander powder. Mix well and continue to cook till the tomatoes turn soft and mushy.
- Now add the cabbage and mix well. Cover with a lid and cook for about 5 minutes. Then remove the lid and continue to cook for another 5 minutes.
- Garnish with cilantro leaves, mix well and serve hot.
