This is the perfect dipping sauce for all your south Indian snacks.. Idli, dosa, vada, you name it.

- 1 Cup grated coconut
- 1 Inch chunk of onion cut into pieces
- 1 Inch piece of ginger cut into pieces
- 1-2 Green chillies chopped
- 2 Tbsp cilantro leaves
- 1 Tbsp oil
- 1/2 Tsp mustard seeds
- 4-5 Curry leaves
- 2 Dried red chillies
- Salt to taste
How to..
- Grind together grated coconut, onion, ginger and green chilli into a smooth paste along with some water.
- Now add the cilantro leaves and salt and grind again. Remove from the grinder into a serving bowl.
- Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds to it. Wait for it to splutter.
- Add the curry leaves and dried red chillies and fry for 1-2 minutes.
- Add the hot oil concoction over the chutney and mix well.
